Aims and Values
Our purpose is to enable the children and staff to have successful and satisfying lives, contributing positively to our community. We are guided by our aims and values which are:
- to create a pleasant teaching environment in which an open management style encourages effective teamwork and a clear understanding of expectations;
- to create an environment in which teachers and children feel valued and where achievement is both recognised and rewarded;
- to encourage a good working ethos through the promotion of independence, initiative and self-discipline in children;
- to be committed to developing a strong home-school partnership;
- to develop a greater involvement in and links with the local community.
Woodmancote School is committed to being a place where everyone has equality of opportunity. Everyone must be respected and treated fairly regardless of learning ability, age, gender, physical capability, religion, ethnic origin, family background or personal characteristics. Discrimination through ignorance is as unacceptable as showing discrimination knowingly.
All adults in the school community have responsibility for upholding this policy in all we do and are vigilant for any activity or situation which undermines our commitment. Staff actively encourage our children to do the same.
